Do you need an espresso machine to make espresso coffee or can I use a regular coffee machine?

I want to make this recipe [http://allrecipes. com / Recipe / Abbeys latte white chocolate / Details. ] Aspx, but I have an espresso machine. If you absolutely need one, do you think I could replace the espresso with regular coffee instead. . or would ruin coffee? Thanks for the help!

No, you cannot use a regular coffee machine to make espresso — it’s a different process. And it’s not a latte if it doesn’t contain espresso, so in that sense, yes, I suppose using regular coffee would ruin it. However, it won’t explode or anything, so if you want to go ahead and do it, it might taste okay anyway. But it won’t be a latte.

Your link didn’t work, but you can use a ground espresso in your coffeemaker and it will make a good strong coffee which will work in a pinch to make latte. Not as good as an espresso machine but I have done it before and it was OK.

Do you have a way to steam the milk?
